A valuable book like Ladurée’s fashionable macaron boxes, popular for their powdered colours.
Ladurée’s great story started in 1862.
Jeanne Souchard, Ernest Ladurée’s wife, had the idea of mixing styles: the Parisian café and the French pastry. She gave birth to one of the first tea shops in Paris. In 1993, Ladurée was taken over and became one of the Parisian delicacy hotspots and a real institution with its famous macaron as emblem.
In this book, Michel Lerouet, Ladurée Kitchen Head Executive Chef, delivers us 100 recipes of his prestigious company, adjusted to the mass audience.
From the Scottish smoked salmon “éclair” to the rose petal “millefeuille” and the traditional warm mini-croissant with fresh goat cheese Chantilly and salted butter nougatine, you will have the choice of a whole range of coloured dishes in powdered rose, pastel green, acid purple, lemon yellow, bringing Ladurée standards that the good and nice things always get on well with each other and borrow the best of the French lifestyle.
Ladurée Sucré Book
Ladurée Sucré is a delectable artist’s book gem.
Reminiscent of the “legendary” macarons in their elegant powder pastel boxes, this work of art will come set in a gift chest and wrapped in tissue paper. From the Fraisier to the rose cream puff, the pistachio financier, and the indispensible macarons in their assorted flavours, a rich palette of pastel green, tart violet, and lemon yellow pastries await, as so many jewels, behind every page.
It is an expression both of Ladurée excellence, where taste and refinement have always gone hand and hand, and the best the French “art de vivre” has to offer. An introduction, “La Petite histoire de Ladurée (A brief history of Ladurée)” is the story of how this little bakery, created in 1862 by Louis Ernest Ladurée, came into its own and became a genuine institution of French gourmandise.
